2009 Supported Employment Conferring Ceremony

Students Celebrate Success!
Congratulations - 24 students received their certificates for successfully completing the Foundation Diploma in Training & Education in Supported Employment in Malone House in Belfast. The course was delivered by a partnership between the Northern Ireland Union of Supported Employment (NIUSE) and the Open Training College (OTC) Dublin and accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway.
Edyth Dunlop, Regional Manager, NIUSE opened the ceremony by congratulating the students on their success and commitment to professional development in Supported Employment. The course provided students with an overview of the Supported Employment model and practical tools and strategies to assist them find and maintain employment for people with disabilities. Supported Employment is a unique model, which assists people with disabilities, in particular people with significant disabilities to find a paid job and stay in the job in a career of their choice, in their local community.
