Conferring Information
Gowns
We suggest you arrive no later than 10.45am in order to allow enough time to get your gown, have photographs taken and line up in procession for the ceremony.
Students will wear a HETAC Bachelor hood, which has blue on the outside and sky blue on the inside.
Gowns can be hired from 10am and cost €35, which must be paid on the day. Access and Visa cards are accepted.
More information about gowns can be found on the Phelan Conan website.
Photography
A photographer has been arranged for the event. He will be present from 10am to take individual shots, at noon for formal shots during the ceremony, and at 2pm to take group shots.
Ceremony
Each student will be called up in turn to collect their parchment and Diploma Supplement. When going up to receive your parchment and Diploma Supplement a photographer will be on hand to take your photograph so there is no need for family and friends to approach the stage. The photo will be electronically available to each student after the ceremony.
Guests
Each participant is allowed to bring two guests. (€20 per additional guest, no charge for children under 2 years)
Diploma Supplement
The purpose of the supplement is to provide a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies that were pursued and successfully completed by the individual named on the original qualification.
