The Forum is intended to provide a fundamental understanding of the essential ‘need to know' issues, which directly impact upon the newly appointed manager and their capacity to understand and work in this new and sometimes ambiguous role. The Forum is based upon newly-appointed managers' experiences and concerns. It is inspired and designed by former first line managers in the disability sector and management educators.

Course Content
This 3-day programme will include:

•  Adjusting to your new role, transition from staff member to management
•  Behavioural issues in the workplace - understanding conflict
•  Team building and communications
