The entry requirements for all applicants for Open Training College courses are as follows:
- Be employed in human services for at least 1 year, however, applications may be accepted where exceptional circumstances are explained.
- Be over 23 years of age by 1st September of year of application or have passed Leaving Certificate
- Have Agency support and have completed all sections of the Agency Support Agreement
- Undertake to pay fees when due. The College regrets that fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
- Have access to a computer with online capability and a working knowledge, now or by the start date of your course, of navigating the web and using Microsoft Office - e.g. Word, PowerPoint.
- Overseas applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of English proficiency. Please refer to Section 6 of the application form for a list of minimum requirements.
Applicants for the Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Applied Social Studies (Disability) must hold an Ordinary Degree in Applied Social Studies, Social Care, or equivalent. Holders of the National Diploma in Applied Social Studies (Disability) are also eligible to apply. All applicants may be required to successfully complete a bridging module prior to commencement of the programme.
