This advanced 18-month management course is being developed at level 8 of the National Framework of Qualifications.The focus of the course will be on Strategic Management and its application to the voluntary / not for profit sector. The programme will focus on the delivery of an integrated systems approach to the education of service and clinical managers in order to develop their conceptual, analytical and strategic management skills providing people with the opportunity to fulfil their full potential in their chosen careers. A Higher Diploma in critical subjects with a strategic orientation, targeted at the social care sector provides an exciting opportunity to radically change the way services are planned and orientated enhancing the living experience of service users. The course is divided into three discrete sections containing five modules in total.

| Applicants for this programme (HETAC level 8) must hold an Ordinary Degree or equivalent (Level 7), in a sector relevant discipline. Or have significant management experience and can satisfy the admissions board as to their academic capacity to undertake a programme of learning at level 8. Applicants may be required to successfully complete a bridging module prior to commencement of the programme. The college reserves the right to amend courses as necessary and to postpone or cancel courses at its discretion. Higher Diploma in Arts (Strategic Management) is subject to final accreditation.
